"I would not recommend switching to State Farm. We had a very terrible experience and it has cost us more money to switch due to their lack of care that could have easily been avoided. After switching insurance and canceling our old policy, we were notified that underwriting cancelled our new policy due to a low quality photo of our roof. This caused our bank to buy insurance on our behalf at almost $3,000. While State Farm was responsive, I did not find them to be helpful in ensuring everything was back in place with with our mortgage. I spent too much time and money fixing a problem they caused due to poor photography. I expect an insurance company to not care and disregard us after insurance is in place, but it came as a surprise to happen before securing the business."
